3 Truths: Time and Space (1/3)

Time and Space: Two Priceless Abstract Commodities

This blog post will be the first of a mini-series of posts. Let me be clear from the start, it's not about the amount of time and space that has been since my last post. In my defense, I was away (in Barcelona, Spain) and the amount of top quality distractions available in that city kept me away from writing.

This mini-series intends to cover considerably more profound subjects and topics than what kept me occupied in Barcelona (see below).

Demigod level skills activated after conceding a goal

This specific post itself aims to discuss  how time and space plays a critical role in determining your experience in this cosmic journey we call life. Because, ultimately, I didn't choose to be born. Furthermore, I didn't choose the time/era or location/space of my birth either. While I am personally thankful for my life, my family, where I was born, where I currently live etc, I do realize that this is not the case globally. Misery, even more so today, seems to be practically everywhere - whether inside a 'developed' or 'developing country'.

Value Your Time and Protect Your Space

If you are reading this from a relatively stable place and not from an area under war, starvation, terrorism, drought, prison etc, this post might be for you. As you are not in survival mode and might have the luxury to think and introspect.

Being alive and conscientious on this planet, you will be blessed with some time and space. Nobody knows how much time we are given here, but one thing for sure is, there is a lot of time. Time is not stopping for anyone and time itself has, is and will continue to remain the witness to everything that has, is and will happen anywhere.

We might not be able to experience or visit everything that is available for us here due to several reasons, but a lot can be learnt and felt deeply within just a couple of seconds and give yourself some hours, days, with some consistency, you might even learn a skill or two that could potentially change your life.

Therefore, when you inject some discipline, consistency into your life and habits, time, as it isn't stopping for anyone or anything, takes care of the rest. These profound words should be applied in the pursuit of learning something, developing yourself, cultivating relationships to improve our surroundings and not hold me accountable for being lazy in writing blog posts.

Whether you are currently living in limited or unlimited space, protect it. Who enters it, how long they can stay etc. Sometimes you don't have the option to make these choices. If you are in this position, do your best to make sure you at least have a say on these matters. Again, I am assuming you have some sort of agency and decision making capacity to own your space so make sure it is clean and that you are able to develop it further.

Next time you have a moment, try to contemplate on the fact that time and your space are one of the few things you actually have at disposal. Both can finish anytime, anywhere. However, valuing your time, protecting your space, are two things that you can do something about to enhance the quality of your life.

Make time and space for things - you might score

Time and space are also essential in football. Think and act fast, find space and who knows, you might at least hit the target.

If you have some time and currently in a nice place, do watch the below video. Enganche Calcio's first ad film created in 2020 during the pandemic. Our friends at QuieroVale4 created this beauty while they were in Medellín, Colombia - la Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera - the City of Eternal Spring. We have been there. It's beautiful. If you have the luck to be able to travel, try to visit! But before, watch the video (and subscribe).

Lastly, don't have any expectations on me that I will be uploading videos regularly - you should know me by now.
